‘Slice of Natick’
Posted on March 1, 2010 by maureen sullivan at Wicked Local

Last Friday, Feb. 26, at the high school cafeteria, the Natick Service Council held its first “A Slice of Natick.”
Twenty restaurants, from all parts of town, donated 10 large pizzas each, five cheese, five specialty, for diners to munch on and decide on which was the best.
The winner, in both the cheese and specialty category — the Pizza Shop @ South Natick.
According to the Service Council, preliminary numbers show that the event raised about $4,500, between admission, raffle and silent auction. Not bad for a first-year event!
The crowd reminded me of another big event that ushers in the spring — the annual Pancake Breakfast sponsored by Natick Community Organic Farm. That event is taking place this Saturday; visit www.natickfarm.org for details.

The Pizza Shop @ South Natick has to my all time favorite pizza’s. I’ve traveled all around the world and sampled pizza from Rome to Randolph, MA. South Natick is the best! The dough is lite and airy. The garden fresh vegetable toppings, the top shelf meat. All expertly prepared by s well trained staff. I live in Boston and there is a myriad of choices from UpperCrust to Santarpios in East Boston. I still travel the extra distance for Pizza done right!
